Deborah K. Brown Stubbs

Director of Finance

Deborah K. Stubbs is the second oldest of eight children born to Percy Lee Brown, Jr. and Geraldine M. Brown. Deborah attended Ohio University in 1969.  There she pledge and became a member of Delta Sigma Sorority in the fall of 1970. Later, she transferred to Akron University, where she received a BS degree in Education (Comprehensive Special Educations K-12).  While in Akron, she was inducted into Pi Theta Kappa and Phi Lambda Theta Educational Honors Organizations.  Deborah then continued her education by obtaining a Master's of Science Degree (Education) from the University of Louisville.  Deborah has served in the field of Education for a combination of 38 years in the states of Ohio, NY, KY and FL.

Deborah’s certifications and endorsements include: an Ohio Secondary School Administration Certification - High School Principal in 1985, Florida Educational Leadership Certification from the Nova University in Davie, FL in 1994, and State of Florida Department of Education - School Principal (K-12) in 1998.

Currently Deborah utilizes her skills and passion at Plantation High School as an administrator. She resides in Lauderhill, Florida with her spouse of 44 years; Wilfred Stubbs, Jr.  

Wilfred received his degree in Business Administration from Ohio University in 1971. Deborah and Wilfred have one child, Miquel Alann Stubbs.  Miquel graduated from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a degree in Economics.   He is employed as the Senior Program Manager at Engility Corporation.  Miquel and his wife Jamie, resides in Columbus, Ohio and have a beautiful daughter, Charlee Micah.

The best advice Deborah offers youth of today is: “Simply do unto others as you would have them do unto you, for you reap what you sow.”
